• Teaching in Cairo University, Architecture Department: Architecture Theory & History I,II,III,IV, since 1958. Teaching Architecture concepts, Graduate Studies, Cairo University since 1963.
• Supervision of hundreds of Master and PH. D. in Egyptian and Arab Universities since 1957.
• Delivering public lectures on architectural & art theories all over the Arab World.

Prof. Dr. Aly Raafat established and directed INTER-CONSULT; He is assisted by a group of Architects and Engineers. They work independently or in joint ventures with International consulting firms.
Prof. Dr. Aly Raafat consulting activities started in Cairo 1949 and soon extended to Jeddah 1960, Riyadh 1973, Dubai 1974, Sharjah 1975, Bahrain 1976 and Abu-Dhabi 1977 with established and operating branches.
His office covers a wide field of experiences and specializations starting from environmental design, infra structure, city and urban design to specific buildings design. The firm has actual successful experiences in residential, Touristic, cultural, health, commercial, educational, interior and landscape designs as well as public and industrial buildings.
The firm with its staff or through joint ventures accomplishes consulting services in Civil Works, Bridges, Highways, Irrigation, Land Reclamation, Transportation, Energy, Water and Sewage Projects. It offers consultations in automation, prefabrication and other building techniques.
